10.30am: How to Stitch Boro. Learn the technique of Boro – a fun process designed to repair, design and make a piece of art – many options will be discussed where you can use your scraps to recycle. Ideal for beginners! Class duration: One hour. Kit cost $20, including scrap pack, needle and Sashiko thread.
12noon: Sashiko. Learn Sashiko using a pre-stencilled piece of Japanese fabric with traditional Japanese designs, once completed turn into a gorgeous table runner – or coasters. Class duration: One hour. Kit cost $25.
1.30pm: Come join Sashiko Hint Corner and see new pre-stencilled Sashiko panels with exclusive designs, tools to make Sashiko a joy to do and ask any Sashiko-related questions you may have – see a small trunk show of products and samples – it’s free!
2.30pm: Small Coin Purse. Learn how to stitch a little Sashiko on a small coin purse and complete by hand stitching. Class duration: One Hour. Kit cost $25, includes pattern and instructions – it’s a quick, easy project.
