Quilt Showcase 2018 will include traditional, innovative and art quilts from miniature to queen size with about 300 quilts on show. The members’ Challenge this year focuses on ‘Celebrating 25 years’, and the member groups’ theme is ‘Who we Are and Where we Live’.

Other displays include:

  • A special invitational display with work by many of the guild’s 27 founding members
  • Two quilters’ works are on show, displaying the results of two very diverse techniques.

Julie Adamson’s display includes many award winning pieces from 2006 until 2017.

Linden Lancaster’s wide body of work will feature her art style with award-winning pieces

Very Snuggly Quilts – If you need a 15-20 minute break from walking, you can put a few stitches in a quilt binding! Marie Lee will be happy to answer questions about the program in which all quilts are given to the Children’s Hospital by registered volunteers.

Demos – Wendy Blyth and her enthusiastic stitchers will show many methods of hand piecing, appliqué and

quilting, you can watch, learn then have a go!

Raffle Quilt – Margaret McDonald and Susan Campbell produced a magnificent Lone Star quilt (left). Proceeds to Vic Quilters Grants and Charitable Works Programs. Tickets $2 each.
