One of the highlights of the quilting year in Australia is the Best of Australia quilts, submitted from state guild shows around the country in order to determine who will win the National Quilt Award.

Each state and territory submits a quilt, to be judged by a panel of three independent quilt guild judges in a state-of-origin style competition at AQC.

The winner is announced at the 2017 AQC Gala Dinner in front of an audience of hundreds of passionate quilters and industry stakeholders. It is a highlight of an Australian quilter’s journey. The National Quilt Award and the Best of Australia display is sponsored by Bernina. bernina_logo
