The Guild is a large group of women who come together to promote the art of patchwork and quilting, ranging from absolute beginners to professional quilters.

Meetings are held on the second Saturday of the month from noon until 3.30pm at the Chartwell Cooperating Church, Comeries Road, Chartwell, Hamilton.

At the monthly meetings we have a guest speaker and merchant.

Our library ensures that members have access to a large range books and templates of all things patchwork, quilting, fabric art and craft; they are available for hire.

Tutorials, classes and workshops are organised where one can learn new sewing methods and techniques to make quilts.

Many smaller sewing groups have a huge role to play – fostering handcrafts, friendship and communication by members. Our monthly sewing days at Gordonton Hall is very popular.

Calling All Quilts is the name given to a biennual show exhibiting members work. Judges are invited to assess all entries.

Volunteer members complete a large number of big and small quilts each year which are donated to community groups in need.
