Learn the art of native grass basketry. Coil stitch is a contemporary adapted basketry technique where soft coils are stitched together with colourful thread. You will gain new weaving skills, plant knowledge and a beautiful grass basket.

Learn the skills to make your own Morticia (Addams) Skirt Pattern with Anita. Using an easy to understand direct draft method, draft a Morticia Skirt to your own measurements. You will learn how to take your own body measurements, discuss seam and hem allowances and to draft a variety of Morticia skirts for various occasions and take home your completed pattern. This workshop may qualify for Teacher Professional Development.

Class includes: Pattern papers, detailed worksheet, ideas, sewing instructions, suppliers list

Barbara is a strong believer in sustainable clothing, she wants people to be inspired and enjoy the textures and wearability of natural fibres. Join this inspirational class and explore the textures and use of natural fibres.

Class includes: A selection of natural fibre fabric, leaves and natural dyebaths will be provided for you to work with. All the
necessary tools and equipment are provided

You will learn how to wrap up onto a timber loom then create a wonderful weaving from hand-dyed wools, roving and raffia with different weaving techniques. Natalie is part of leading textile and design adventures and creative retreats currently in Japan, Vietnam, India, and Bali, designed to unite crafters around the world and bring back the beauty of handmade.

Class includes: A colourful range of handpicked and hand-dyed yarns, own timber weaving loom, timber rod, roll of tapestry cotton wrap and a canvas carry bag to take home your work
