11.30am to 1pm – Kokedama Workshop

Patricia and the team from The Soul Pantry will teach you how to create your own Kokedama (Ko Kay Da Ma). Kokedama is a style of bonsai taken out of its box – literally! They are made from transferring your plant out of its pot and into a ball of soil held together with moss and string. String gardens take this tradition a step further by suspending these little green worlds in the air. It is agreat way to bring the outdoors inside.

Workshop Includes: Supplies and materials and hands-on instructions to make your own Kokedama, including: soil, peat moss, sphagnum moss, plant, cotton thread, string, scissors, and a bowl of water.

Skill Level: All Levels – This is an introduction to Kokedama.

Patricia’s lifelong delight is in the beauty of flora and fauna which commenced in her native country of Brazil, started out in agricultural science and botany, and later, fused with her passion for art and photography.  She opened That Flower Shop in 2013 followed by The Soul Pantry in 2015, where her love of teaching workshops arose into a flourishing, creative business which includes a workshop area, flower shop, and The Soul Pantry Kitchen Café within an urban oasis.
