More than 350 member quilts entered in 19 amateur, professional, open and junior categories will be showcased in the major annual exhibition of The Quilters' Guild of NSW Inc. See all the competitor quilts and the award winners, including those for Retaining the Tradition, Best Use of Colour and Excellence in Quilting by both hand and machine, plus a new open category, New Traditions from Old Favourites.

There will also be several other displays and highlights in the Quilt Show:

Best of Australia Quilts - The eight state finalists from the Bernina Australian National Quilt Award will be showcased.
'Art to Wear' presents a stunning Black & White Exhibition of 20 garments, three of which are from Retrospective Guest Exhibitor, Barbara Rogers. Several exhibitors will hold daily demonstrations of the various techniques featured in their garments.
Special Guest - Helen Godden from Canberra is a guest exhibitor and a selection of her quilts will be a feature presentation.
Quilts from the guilds' Challenge and touring suitcase exhibition 'Coast & Country' will be displayed as will thirty small quilts from the guild's 2010 calendar available at the show.
The Community Quilts area will be busy with continuous demonstrations of hand and machine quilting, applique, quilt assembly and basting. The ladies in this area are ready and willing to help you with any quilting problems.
Kidskills will be presented on Saturday and Sunday enabling budding junior quilters to make a quilt on paper using their selection of ready-cut fabrics.

The official opening of the Quilt Show and presentation of prizes will take place on the first day of the fair at 9.30am - fair visitors are welcome. Membership of The Quilters' Guild of NSW is open to all quilters in Australia and overseas; find out more about the guild and its activities at the fair.
