Unique Stitching 2008 Art Quilt Challenge
How you are… how you think you are… how you want to be. What colour/texture are you? How would you reflect your various dimensions? How does the outside world view you? Realistic, abstract or interpretive?
Quilters around the country have been invited to address the intriguing challenge theme ‘A Self Portrait or an Abstract Self Expression’, and all that it encompasses in this art
quilt challenge, raising funds for the NSW Cancer Council.
The entries are all original and were created using a variety of techniques and materials to encapsulate the essence of the maker in a textile piece that is no more than 12 inches square. See this fascinating touring display at the fair.
