Presented by the Association of New Zealand Embroiderers’ Guilds Inc The art of embroidery will be showcased at this year’s fair, in a superb new exhibition that explores two integral parts of embroidery – fabric and the time needed for stitching and creating. For the exhibition, members of New Zealand’s 60 embroiderers’ guilds were invited to interpret the theme in any way they chose. The resulting exhibition combines traditional embroidery with creative leaps that will surprise and delight visitors and perhaps make them look at embroidery in new ways. the Association of NZ Embroiderers’ Guilds and its members enjoy sharing their love of embroidery – visit the ANZEG display at the fair to find out more. ANZEG will conduct two hands-on Craft Circles (click here for Craft Circle program) each day at the fair. Plus don’t miss their free children’s workshops on Saturday and Sunday – no bookings are required; for details visit the display.
