With more than 300 quilts on display, this year’s exhibition by members of Victorian Quilters Inc is sure to have something for everyone. Traditional, innovative and art quilts in sizes ranging from miniature to queen size, will compete in a number of categories – all vying for the coveted ‘Best of Show’ award. See the awards ceremony at midday on the opening day of the fair.

There are also several feature exhibitions:

‘Profile a Member Quilter’ – Noelene McGuren – a retrospective including her first quilt. Many of Nolene’s unique creations are inspired by antique quilts.
Quilts from the Victorian Quilters' Fabric Frenzy Challenge 2009.
Best of Australia Quilts – The eight state finalists from the Bernina Australian National Quilt Award displayed together.
Strathdale Quilters, Bendigo will have a heritage quilt from their local area on display.
A display from Goulburn Valley Quilters – the ‘Profile a Member Group’.
Making Memories Challenge – highlighting the effect finding memories can have on those with Alzheimer's disease.
New and old quilts depicting the log cabin block in all its guises.
The Australian Machine Quilters Exhibition, sponsored by the Australasian Quilt Convention.
Well know quilt historian and collector Annette Gero and award-winning quiltmaker Kim McLean will have 20 quilts on display – ten of Annette's antique Australian quilts and ten recreated using Kim's patterns from Annette's new book, The Fabric Of Society. Meet Annette at the exhibition.

Guild members will also be demonstrating the process of making a quilt in a veritable Quilt-A-Thon! From the cutting out to the binding – the quilts made will go to their Very Snuggly Quilt program. Chat with members at the fair to learn more about the guild and its activities.
