Decoupage (from the French word for cut) is the craft of decorating household objects with pictures cut out of paper. It originated in the 18th century to simulate the beautiful, intricately hand-painted lacquer items that were being imported at great expense from Asia, and early pieces are decorated with Asian art and themes.

At the fair visitors will discover the art of decoupage in this amazing display. A variety of decoupage art will be on show including vases, boxes, plates, eggs of various sizes and designs, under glass decoupage and more.

Plus you can see how to create beautifully decoupaged items of your own, learn general information about the products needed and their uses, and receive invaluable advice as guild members show how to cut, varnish and sand various pieces in ongoing demonstrations.

Being part of a craft guild is about spending time doing something you love alongside good friends.
