Presented by Not Just Cloth Dolls Club
Fanciful dancing figures depicted on fabric panels are the inspiration for this year’s display. Members have been challenged to interpret the theme of ‘Masquerade Ball’ and have created a colourful and exciting display of dolls, all beautifully adorned in extravagant ball-gowns and masks.
Not Just Cloth Dolls Club is a friendly group whose members have a wide range of craft and sewing talents and love creating cloth dolls. But these are not just play’ dolls. Most are very decorative and wonderful art pieces. Members of the club enjoy sharing dollmaking ideas, techniques and skills, especially with new dollmakers and young people.
Recently the group welcomed internationally renowned guest tutors who ran exciting workshops, including Jill Maas (NZ), Patti Medaris Culea (USA) and Tasmania’s own Linda Misa, who is now a member. These designers passed on their expertise in fun-filled weekend get-togethers – find out more about how you can join them at the fair.
