Hexagons is the theme for this silver anniversary year - this unique shape will feature in all areas of the quilt show including demonstrations on the various ways of making them. Come and take a closer look at the winners in the judged competition part of the show. Lists of the winners will be available from the Queensland Quilters' at the show.
2009 Quilt Show offers several feature exhibitions:

- 'Special Awards of Excellence' - these cover Best Hand and Best Machine quilting, Best Use of Colour, Best Traditional Quilt, Best Wall Quilt, Best Theme Quilt and Best Secondary Student.
- 'The World's Biggest Hexagon Quilt Challenge' - being entered into The Guinness Book of World Records, come see the progress so far and how you can become a part of this.
- '25' QQ's Challenge - celebrating Queensland Quilters' first 25 years. Will feature Challenge Quilts from many groups associated with Queensland Quilters and offer a showcase of machine quilting from members of the Australian Machine Quilters Association.
- Linus Quilts by Ruby Houston - one of our permanent amazing attractions, this group makes thousands of quilts each year for special needs groups.
- Demonstrations and discussions on contemporary art textile techniques will continue all day long from '2qAq' Queensland Quilter's Art Group.
Raffle Quilt
Buy a $2 ticket in the Annual Queensland Quilters Inc Art Union raffle. Winner of first prize can choose their prize - a Bernina Overlocker, or one of two beautiful quilts. Winner of second prize can choose from the remaining quilt or a Bernina Overlocker. Third prize wins which ever fantastic prize remains!
