Catch a glimpse of history through costume
Miniature specialist and doll maker, Marjorie Fainges, has created a celebration of Queensland's 150th anniversary with a collection of costume dolls.
Fashions and uniforms from various periods throughout the 150 years will be shown including federation period, war years and modern times. See highlights such as Meter Maids, Lighthorse Soldiers, war brides and Kanakas, through to fashion classics such as safari suits of the 60's and hot pants of the 70's. Remember the outrage when miniskirts first appeared - and see how sportswear has evolved over the years.
