The theme of this year's display presented by The Embroiderers' Guild of SA Inc recognises the fact that all contemporary work has evolved from traditional embroidery. Don't miss seeing the guild's Ruby Anniversary Celebration Banner titled Swirl. The piece shows a great diversity of embroidery techniques, some traditional such as hardanger and pulled threadwork, and some contemporary such as computer generated imagery. The piece illustrates the skills which have been passed on through the guild and will not disappear with time.
Each day at the fair experienced demonstrators will be only too pleased to offer advice, show their skills and talk about the many guild activities.
