The concept of Exotica… remarkably strange or rare objects, brings to mind a range of unusual and interesting ideas. Talented ATASDA members have created three displays of colourful artworks for their 2009 exhibition touring with the Craft & Quilt Fairs.

• Wonderful vines full of exotic Bugs and Botanica. Made by four collaborative members, these works showcase the unique inspiration and interaction of their makers.

• Cartouche shows the range of techniques and materials utilised by skilled members – embroidery, dyeing, embellishment, felting, weaving, shibori, printing and painting.
• Masks, Hats and Headdresses – these wearable art-style works will inspire and excite all who enjoy textiles.

ATASDA members will be available to discuss the extensive range of materials and techniques used to create the Exotica works on display.
