Freeform Experimentation
Tutor: Prudence Mapstone, Stand C25
When: 4.30pm to 7.30pm, Thursday November 5
Fee: $75
Class location: Craft Circle 2
Experiment with a range of different stitches and techniques that will get you started with exciting freeform knitting and crochet. Learn lots of tips and tricks that will help you turn your experiments into works of wearable art. The kit will include a selection of specialty yarns in your colour choice, plus comprehensive notes to get you ‘freeforming’. Knowledge of basic knit and crochet stitches is required.
Requirements: Bring a range of knitting needles and crochet hooks in different sizes (approx 3.5 to 4.5mm) and a pair of scissors.

Sitting Lady Fabric Sculpture
Tutor: Denise Keeley, Paverpol Australia, Stand C30
When: 4.30pm to 7.30pm, Thursday November 5

Make your own 'sitting lady' indoor or outdoor sculpture. Learn the process step-by-step, from wrapping the wire frame that is the base of your sculpture to dressing your lady using fabric dipped in the amazing fabric hardener product, Paverpol. All the products you need to create your unique sculpture will be supplied.
Materials to bring: A two or four litre ice cream container to work in and a large box (wine box size) to take the sculpture home in. TIP: leave your rings at home and wear old clothes or bring an apron/smock.
